DONATE NOW & SAVE CHILDREN’S LIVES

In crises, conflicts and disasters, it is often children who suffer the most. 426 million children live in conflict zones, 149 million children have to grow up in extremely dangerous living conditions, and the number of serious violations of children’s rights continues to rise.

OUR EMERGENCY AID – SAVE THE CHILDREN IS ACTIVE AROUND THE WORLD AND HELPS CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

Children are particularly badly affected by the consequences of natural disasters such as the earthquake in Afghanistan or the floods in Pakistan, wars such as in Ukraine, Syria and Yemen, and crises such as the coronavirus pandemic. Save the Children’s emergency response teams are there when children need immediate help – such as during the floods in Pakistan.

How we help

TEMPORARY LEARNING CENTRES

When school buildings are destroyed by natural disasters, or children lose access to schooling when they have to flee, we set up temporary learning centres. This means that children like Aisah (10) can learn again.

FOOD PARCELS

When families lose their homes and crops due to natural disasters, they lack everything. We distribute food parcels, as otherwise there is a risk that children like Deko (7) will suffer from malnutrition.

EMERGENCY SHELTERS

Children like Tosmin (11) and their families who lose their homes due to natural disasters, poverty or having to flee, are given materials for emergency shelters.

How your donation helps

With 60 Swiss francs

for example, we can provide ten children with toiletry kits containing a towel, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste.

With 120 Swiss francs

for example, we can provide a child with treatment for malnutrition for a month.

With 250 Swiss francs

for example, we can provide sixteen children with school kits so that they can continue to benefit from education.

Your donation will be used for all of our activities and deployed where disadvantaged children need it the most.
