The Board of Save the Children Switzerland has appointed Adrian Förster as the new CEO of the child rights organisation. Förster will take over the function from September 2020. The previous CEO, Ömer Güven, left Save the Children at the end of May to take up a new professional challenge.

Adrian Förster has many years of experience in the NGO sector and was most recently CEO of TearFund Switzerland. Prior to this engagement, he worked for ten years as project manager for various development projects of SAM global in Guinea and then served for four years as Deputy Managing Director and Country Manager Cameroon & Chad of SAM global in Switzerland. Förster holds a Master’s degree in law and a Bachelor’s degree in theology and international studies and will take up his position with Save the Children Switzerland as of September 1st.

The CEO of Save the Children Switzerland, Ömer Güven, left the child rights organisation at the end of May after five years to take up a new professional challenge. During the transition period, Sven Hoffmann, President of the Board, will supervise the operational business of Save the Children Switzerland.
