I am happy to advise you personally regarding ideas and activities. Together, we will find an engagement that is optimally tailored to your company. I look forward to an exchange!

Raising funds

Offer your employees simple, collaborative activities such as a bake sale, a charity-run or an individual fundraising platform and collectively raise funds for the most deprived children.

Motivate your employees to get active and at the same time raise funds for children. For example, we are partners of the "Race for Gift" in Geneva, where you can register as a company or team and run or walk varying distances for children in need.

We offer you a customized page on our donation platform tailored to your company and accessible only to you. The platform allows your employees to easily make a donation and accepts all common payment options. Double the donations and not only motivate participation, but also position yourself as a socially engaged employer.

Push-ups for a good cause? Take part as a company in the NonStop Gym 24h-challenge in November and sweat as a team. All you have to do is participate and our partner NonStop Gym will donate a fixed amount to Save the Children for each athletic "challenge" completed.

Active support for children in Switzerland

A direct commitment to our project in Switzerland is always tailored to the current needs and organized in close collaboration with our domestic project team. For example, your employees can put together various materials that directly support refugee children in Switzerland.

LEarn and play trolley

Our program experts provide comprehensive instructions for assembling a Learn- and Play-Trolley. As a team, employees can buy the suggested products and assemble, package, and deliver them to our office according to the instructions. The activity is rounded off with an input on our work in Switzerland to show how the Learn- and Play-Trolley supports refugee children in Switzerland.

Involvierte Mitarbeiter in der Partnerschaft mit Save the Children

I value working with Save the Children because as a team, we can support their important work through volunteering and together make a difference.

christmas presents for children in need

Would you like to fulfill children’s wishes at Christmas? Working closely with our project team and our partner organizations, your employees can do just that! As a team, you can shop for gifts, wrap them, and write a personalized card. Thanks to the great support of Cisco for example, we have fulfilled the Christmas wishes of almost 50 children from sans-papier families.

Stress-kits

Refugee parents and children often show symptoms of stress due to their experiences in their country of origin. That is why our project experts have developed a “stress kit” with trauma-sensitive products. Would you like to put together such kits with your employees and thus help to ensure that affected parents and children receive the necessary support materials?

Setting up child friendly spaces

For our national project “Child Friendly Spaces in Asylum Centers” we have received active support from IKEA Switzerland. With the help of a total of 48 employees, IKEA has set up five Child Friendly Spaces in asylum shelters in Zurich, Lugano, and Bern. Learn more about this great collaboration in the video.

My school start

Refugee children often do not have their own school supplies when they arrive in Switzerland. Would you and your employees like to ensure that the children receive all the products they need for a successful start to school? Pack a backpack with a pencil case, beautiful pens, notebooks, and other items according to our instructions. The backpack supports the learning of the refugee children and prepares them for a positive start to school.

Using your skills for a good cause

Save the Children formulates questions and tasks which have an impact on the implementation and success of our work. Your company puts together multidisciplinary teams to work on the challenges and to propose solutions. This could take place either virtually or in-person and for example be organized as a "day of services" where we kick off the day with a Breakfast & Learn.

Example: Heidrick & Struggles Day of Service
The employees of Heidrick & Struggles spent a whole day working virtually for our organization: We started with a "Breakfast & Learn", where all employees received background information about Save the Children and our projects. Afterwards, employees developed concepts and ideas for the Brain Challenges and presented them.

Your employees have a broad range of different skills which could support our work for children by assisting core- and support functions at Save the Children on various levels. This enables a wide range of engagement opportunities involving employees with different skill sets and interests. This valuable bro bono support like for example translations, legal advises or logistic support enables us to use our funds even more efficiently.

Save the Children's legal issues are an interesting change of pace, and I'm happy to be able to use my knowledge for a social cause.

Experience the partnership

Your employees can be actively involved in the partnership, learning firsthand about the impact of a corporate donation and how Save the Children works in more than 120 countries.

Awareness-raising: In an interactive workshop, your employees will learn more about the protection of children and how they can become ambassadors for children's rights in their everyday lives.

For various reasons, it is not always possible to visit our projects abroad. Therefore, we have developed a virtual project visit for our partners, which provides a travel experience from home. Employees experience first-hand how Save the Children implements projects and how we work together to improve the lives of the most deprived children in the world.

The virtual project visit was as close as we could get to the on-site visit experience. My colleagues really enjoyed the virtual event, and the benefit is that more of them can participate.

Vilma Durante Vice President Global Marketing and General Manager Switzerland at Gedeon Richter

Employees can experience first-hand how their commitment and a corporate donation make a difference in the lives of children worldwide. We are happy to organize a programmatic input on one of our projects or focus areas in Switzerland and worldwide.

We can support your event with a social component, provide insights into our work and develop fundraising ideas such as a raffle or an auction. This way, we can jointly draw attention to our current work and at the same time collect donations for children in need, thus rounding off your event in a social way.

INNOVATIVE CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGNS WITH SOCIAL IMPACT

Let us use this Christmas together to positively influence the future of the most deprived children. Here we would like to present some ideas for innovative Christmas campaigns with social impact.
